Must attend both days!

8:30am - 5:00pm EST each day

One-to-one support skills rooted in Psychological First Aid principles.

Learning Objectives:

- Psychological crisis and psychological crisis intervention

- "Resistance, resiliency, recovery" continuum

- Critical incident stress management

- Evidence-based practice

- Basic crisis communication techniques

- Common psychological and behavioral crisis reactions

- Putative and empirically-derived mechanisms

- SAFER-Revised model

- Suicide intervention

- Risks of iatrogenic "harm"

Upon completion of this course with verified full attendance, participants are eligible to receive an electronic ICIS Certificate of Completion, including general continuing education credit.

Participants must complete a course evaluation before certificate release. Receipt of a Certificate of Completion does not attest to field competence. Completion does not provide certification in CISM or clinical credentials.

Profession-Specific CEU Guidance:

Acceptance of crisis training for profession-specific continuing education requirements varies by state and licensing authority. Participants are encouraged to contact their state licensing board or credentialing agency in advance for the most current guidance.
