PROJECT 700
TWO TRAINED PEOPLE IN EVERY CHURCH. APPROXIMATELY 350 CHURCHES. 700 RESPONDERS.
Project 700 is a Crisis Care Solutions initiative with a vision to equip pastors and lay leaders across Peninsular Florida with practical crisis intervention skills so local churches are better prepared to care for people when crisis comes.
WHEN CRISIS COMES, THE CHURCH IS ALREADY THERE
Hurricanes, traumatic events, sudden loss, community tragedies, and personal crises can change lives in a matter of moments. Professional responders and outside organizations play an essential role during many critical incidents. But long after response teams leave and public attention moves on, the local church remains. Pastors, ministry leaders, and trusted members of the congregation are often among the people others turn to when they are hurting.
They bring compassion. They bring presence. They bring hope.
Project 700 exists to help make sure they also bring practical crisis intervention skills.
THE VISION IS SIMPLE
If approximately 350 churches identify two people and intentionally equip them for crisis care, 700 trained responders can be positioned throughout communities across Peninsular Florida.
TWO PEOPLE. ONE LOCAL CHURCH. A COMMUNITY BETTER PREPARED WHEN CRISIS COMES.
TWO TRAINED PEOPLE IN EVERY CHURCH
Equip pastors and lay leaders with practical crisis intervention training.
APPROXIMATELY 350 CHURCHES
Help churches across Pen Florida consider how they prepare people to care during crisis.
700 TRAINED RESPONDERS
Encourage each church to identify two people who can develop practical crisis care skills.
Every church already has people others naturally turn to when life becomes difficult. They may be pastors, ministry leaders, chaplains, deacons, care team members, first responders, or trusted lay leaders. They are often the people who receive the phone call, sit in the hospital waiting room, arrive after the tragedy, or remain with a family when everyone else has gone home.
WHO ARE YOUR TWO?
Project 700 asks churches to intentionally identify those people and equip them.
ASK YOURSELF:
Who are the two people in our church who should be better prepared to care for others when crisis comes?
Why Should I Give?
Because Hurting People Need Trained Responders
When people experience crisis, trauma, loss, or disaster, good intentions alone are not enough. Many Christians genuinely want to help but often do not know what to say or do. Project 700 equips pastors and lay leaders with practical crisis intervention skills so they can provide emotional, spiritual, and practical care when it matters most.
“A crisis moment is not the time to wish someone had been trained. It is the time to have trained people already in place.”
Because Every Church Can Become a Place of Hope
The vision of Project 700 is simple: train more people so that every Assemblies of God church in Pen Florida can have at least two individuals prepared to respond to crisis in their community. Whether it is a death, suicide, disaster, accident, traumatic event or community tragedy, churches can be the places where people find compassionate, competent care.
“Your gift helps train crisis care responders in local churches across Pen Florida.”
Because Training Multiplies Ministry
A dollar given to Project 700 does more than help one person it helps train someone who will care for dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of people throughout their ministry. Every pastor, chaplain, or church volunteer equipped through this initiative becomes a multiplier of hope, extending the reach of the Gospel through practical compassion.
“We are not simply funding classes; we are investing in people who will spend years serving others in their darkest moments.”

WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO EQUIP 700 RESPONDERS?
Project 700's current funding goal reflects the cost of expanding training access, providing training assistance, and developing the infrastructure necessary to equip pastors and lay responders across Peninsular Florida.
TRAINING ACCESS
Help reduce financial barriers that may prevent pastors, ministry leaders, and churches from participating in crisis intervention training.
CHURCH EQUIPPING
Develop resources and training opportunities that help churches identify and prepare crisis care responders.
PROJECT EXPANSION
Support the coordination, communication, and infrastructure to move Project 700 from vision to trained responders throughout the district.
Gifts designated to Project 700 support the initiative and help Crisis Care Solutions expand access to crisis intervention training.
